WILD BY TRADITION
For generations, Giovanni’s has built its reputation around wild-caught seafood from local waters and trusted fisheries. We also carry select farm-raised products when they meet our standards.
Overnight, Dock-to-Door Shipping
Fresh or frozen, every order is carefully packed and shipped to protect the quality and freshness you expect from Giovanni’s.
Supporting Our Local Fishing Fleet
We work directly with local fishermen, buying straight from the boats whenever possible, then receiving, cutting, and packing much of that catch right here at our Morro Bay waterfront facility.
Three Generations on the Waterfront
Our family seafood operation began in 1973 and has been passed down through three generations — still rooted in Morro Bay, still hands-on, and still focused on doing seafood the right way.

LOCAL GROWER SPOTLIGHT
We Know Exactly Whose Water Your Oysters Come From
Most online seafood retailers buy from a distributor and never meet the people who grew what they're selling. Our Pacific Gold Oysters come direct from Morro Bay Oyster Company, grown in the same Morro Bay waters we've fished for generations. When you order oysters from us, you're not buying from a warehouse, you're buying from a grower whose name we can actually give you.

A Family Business on the Working
Waterfront Since 1973
Giovanni’s Fish Market & Galley opened its doors in Morro Bay in 1985, building on a family history in fish markets and commercial fishing that began in Morro Bay in 1973. Three generations later, we’re still family-owned, still working on the waterfront, and still closely connected to the fishermen and fisheries that supply us.
More than 200 seafood items move through our market, from locally landed catch and wild King Salmon to live Dungeness Crab, sushi-grade tuna, shellfish, and house-smoked fish. Much of it is received, cut, prepared, and packed right here at our Morro Bay waterfront facility before heading to customers across the country.

Wild-Caught From Waters We've Worked For Generations
We built this market on wild-caught seafood from our own fishing fleet and the Central Coast fishery, not farmed substitutes. Sourcing locally where we can, and from trusted wild fisheries where we can't, means the seafood on your table is closer to what came off the boat, not what came out of a pen.

VICKI MOORE
“We live in Arkansas, and the only way we can get fresh fish and Dungeness crab is by ordering it from Giovanni's. The service is always overnight, and the fish is always fresh and delicious.”

HOW WE PROCESS
From The Cutting Board To Your Door
1
Cut To Order
When your order comes in, our fishmongers hand-cut your fillet from the whole fish on the market cutting board — never pre-portioned days ahead.
2
Vacuum-Sealed Fresh
Each fillet is vacuum-sealed within minutes of being cut, locking in freshness without freezing.
3
Packed On Ice
Sealed fillets are packed on plenty of ice in an insulated box, so they stay cold from our dock to your doorstep.
4
Shipped Overnight
Boxes go out the same day the fish is cut and arrive overnight, ready to cook or freeze the moment they land.
